vacation, days 2 and 3

i know heaven looks different for every soul, and i have stumbled upon mine. we have spent the past 2 days exploring the red rocks via pink jeep and foot trails. yesterday, our german guide, thomas, drove us up to broken arrow and up to scenic rim. i can't even describe the views or the feelings of awe! the pictures don't even do it justice.

we were amazed at how those modified jeeps could go over terrain that appeared impassable. one of the ladies that shared our tour started off looking pretty green, but was smiling by the time we got back. punkin said it was just like a roller coaster...that is, until she fell asleep on the way down from scenic rim! yesterday afternoon, punkin and i indulged in a wonderful massage at the hotel spa that was almost better than sex (i speak for myself, of course)!

today, we scaled sugarloaf mound on foot and then spent the afternoon lazing by the pool. it's hard to believe it's still rather comfortable outside in november! on the hike, we passed several of the famous vortecies, or energy centers. they were amazing! i am intuitive enough to feel the energy shift, which basically sends tingles down the body. sitting on a vortex, marked by piles of rocks, i felt so at peace. i could have sat there all day in an almost stupor. move over tequila, i found a better (and healthier) alternative!

tomorrow is our last full day in sedona. there's so much to do yet. we may have to move here in order to do and see it all. they call it "red rock fever."

The vortecies sound really neat-o. I am immediately going to look up information on them.
