i've stumbled upon another interesting book, conversations with God. it's funny how a lot of people (myself included) read, see or hear something that is different from what they were taught growing up, and immediately condemn the source. just because it's different.
i'm not even going to get into a discussion about religion here. i believe each person's relationship with God is private and sacred. but with so many theories out there, how do you cover your butt? it's kind of like saying, "i'm a Christian because i don't want to take the chance of missing out on salvation." which is no more comforting (in my opinion) than saying, "i'm a Christian because i've never been taught anything else."
i'm a Christian because of lots of investigation. and i admit that i am far from having all, or maybe any, of the answers. this is one subject that makes my head hurt!

I would like to believe that God loves us all - no matter how we choose to believe in Him. And salvation will not be withheld because we are not Christian, or Jewish, or Muslim (yes, Muslim), etc. Maybe there are so many relgions because we each have different needs (similar to different learning styles) and the point should be that we should ALL spend time visiting other churches to discover what works best for us.
I think that the majority of people involved with organized religion are completely missing the point of why they are going to church.
Right on!
