tigger babble (sorry karla)

hi there. what's new with you? our cable modem was down from sunday afternoon until last night, so i haven't been on the computer much. it's so funny what you miss when you don't have internet access. i missed writing here and also i wanted to read my work email very badly. of course, nothing major was waiting when i got back online, but it was interesting to notice what i missed the most.

punkin started riding the bus to school yesterday. she says she likes it. i know i do! it's so much easier to walk her out to the sidewalk at 7am and then meet her in front of the house at 3pm than it would be to sit for 25 - 45 minutes in the "drop off" and "pick up" lines at the school. she's so grown up, be-bopping up the bus steps like she owns the place. she says she still likes school and her class. she doesn't have very many stories to tell when she gets home, but she seems happy. that's what counts.

i just finished reading worried all the time. what a fabulous book! i'd recommend it for any parent who finds themselves worried about their kids and second-guessing their parenting decisions a lot. the part about parents being worried about the first day of school was very enlightening. you're more likely to worry about it if your school experiences were less than ideal. i didn't realize how much we project onto our kids.

i am off to the chiropractor for a good back-crackin'. happy tuesday!
