it's friday! yay! i realize how freakin' spoiled i am now. getting up at 6am every day is so hard! of course, i naturally wake up around 6am, but now that i have to, it seems i could sleep until noon.
i took punkin to school this morning. we went early on purpose to eat breakfast in the cafeteria. they had all kinds of cereal, juice, toast, milk, doughnuts and this morning's special selection - breakfast taquitos (with eggs, ham, and cheese in them). punkin and i both got doughnuts and chocolate milk. we needed the sugar buzz. afterward, i walked her to her class and then left. there are so many adults and "superstar helpers" (which are older kids who hang around to help the younger ones) that i don't think a kid could get lost if they wanted to! it's very reassuring to me.
the captain just left to pick punkin up a bit early. our stupid cat bit her on the hand a couple of days ago, and left quite a puncture wound. it is swollen and pink, so we thought we'd better take her into the doctor just to be safe. the cat is current on her shots, but the doc said that cat bites are more likely to get infected than dog bites. the stupid cat will go to the vet on monday to see what the heck is wrong with her skin. if you touch her anywhere along her back near her tail, she freaks. punkin was being careless and got caught in the line of fire. stupid cat. good thing we have a smart cat, too. i can only deal with one retarded cat at a time.
