quack quack

my mom came over this morning to help me clean the house. about half an hour later, she started complaining about getting a headache. i knew this house had some funk in it! ("funk" is the scientific word for mold spores, which my mom and i are allergic to) so, i got out the latest coupon mailer and started looking through the selection of air duct cleaners.

i found 3 service companies, who had very similar prices. being the smart consumer i am, i checked them out on the better business bureau website. one company had 6 complaints in the last 12 months - 3 of them were "customer service" related, and only 2 of them had been resolved. the other 2 companies checked out fine with the bbb. i picked up a coupon randomly and called. the phone was busy. they had a local number as well as the 1-800 number, so i tried that one, too - busy. i picked up the last coupon, which was for a company called "air america" or something like that. i got through to their customer service department and spoke to this woman with a very heavy asian accent. i had to repeat much of what i said, and had to double-check with her to make sure i understood what she was saying. you'd think that a company with "america" in their name would at least have someone who spoke good english scheduling their appointments. silly me for having such high expectations.

let's just hope they know how to deal with funk.

From what I can see, not many blogs talk about stuff like low ozone air purifier and that is sad. I think your blog is great that way.

keep it up.
