happy mother's day!

to all the mothers out there - thanks for all that you do! it's unfortunate that mother's day is only one day out of the year, but hopefully you find little "mother's day moments" every day that you spend with your family. i know i do - sometimes it's a polite "yes, ma'am" when i ask punkin to do something; sometimes it's a spontaneous hug and kiss; sometimes it's the satisfaction of watching her sleep so peacefully, knowing that we have provided a safe and predictable home for her.

so, whether you are a biological mom, an adopted mom, a grandma, a dad who has to fill both parental roles or someone who cares for a child(ren), kick back and enjoy this day. throw the diet out the window today. allow yourself to watch "desperate housewives." do whatever makes you happy, guilt-free! hopefully, the guilt will take a permanent vacation!
