peggy sue got married

i am so thrilled with my classes this semester. they actually sort of pay attention! they speak. they laugh at my corny jokes! and that makes me feel more at ease, too. during my break in between classes, i sat in on another professor's sociology class. i like my class better. =)

i had a student hang around after class today. she was telling me about her dream to become a professional comic book writer. apparently, her parents wanted to live vicariously through her, so they made her go to a big college and major in pre-med. once she was away from her parents, she realized what they were doing, and stopped the medical track after 2 years. of course, this caused a huge rift in her family, but i thought she was very brave to take a stand.

which brings up the question: if you could get one do-over in your life, what would you go back and do differently?
