i think i am becoming a full-fledged insomniac. i can't remember the last time i was able to sleep past 5:30am, including weekends. i have too much clutter in my brain that likes to whirl around in a tornadic fashion. i suppose some day soon i will just be so tired, i'll pass out and stay out.
today was the first day of class. i ended up with 2 of them - 1 at 9am and 1 at 12pm. that gives me an hour and a half to kill in between. i made the mistake of driving off campus to get lunch. when i got back, i had to park in the student lot. ewww. next time, i'll pack a sammich and hide in the adjunct faculty workroom.
the students themselves seem like a big improvement from last semester. i have some older "kids" - from 25 - 30ish and some older adults as well. most of the students are freshmen and sophomores, but they at least participated in discussion today. that gives me hope for the rest of the semester. i need to do a few things for wednesday, but i can't focus very well. need sleep.
resolution update
1. have been doing devotionals and praying at least once per day
2. got a workout yesterday by washing and detailing my car for 2 hours
3. not doing so well on the prioritizing - need to work on that one
4. fell off the sugar wagon last week - i indulged 3x instead of 1x/week, which is my goal
