You Think You Know Someone...

When I called our insurance company to file losses from Ike, I learned that for some reason our Windstorm Insurance Policy had not been renewed this year. We had dealt with our agent, Darryl Golter, for years. He was a trusted associate. Last night, Channel 13 news told us what happened. Thank God the agency he used to work for is refunding our money. They are also treating the 75 families like we did have windstorm coverage, so no one is going to be out money from damages from Ike.

I am just flabbergasted.

That is insane! Glad it's working out in the end.

That's the kind of thing that makes you fume. Glad it is being taken care of.

Wow - some people just suck and are really good at hiding it. Sometimes the strength of companies to help out with things like this instead of screwing people over is really great.

My company said they were giving each of their Houston based employees $500 to help them "restock their fridge" and help with costs related to Ike. They also gave away free water, ice, coolers, battery operated fans, batteries and gas!

Thank goodness the company is doing the right thing by you and the other families. Golter's got bad karma coming his way...
