hostile witness

my third client in my private practice is going on trial tomorrow. by "third client," i mean he was literally the third person on my books after "opening the doors." our work together is long since over and i haven't spoken to him in well over a year. the charges against him, while serious, are inaccurate to say the least. i really have nothing to contribute to the prosecution, but they want me there anyway. at 8:30am. so, i had to reschedule paying clients so that i could give my time and gasoline driving 40 miles to the county courthouse for who knows how long to contribute nothing to a case that is a giant waste of taxpayers' money. yay for justice.
