weekend update

as always, it was great to see kambri (pictured here making out with erik estrada, while her fiance' christian, looks on). we got to reminisce about toilet papering various neighbors' houses, and she reminded me about the time a group of us tp'd our school coach's house and yard...while the coach sat in a friend's car across the street, watching us. and not only did we get busted that way, but apparently we left our names on the school papers that we had shredded (by hand) for confetti to throw in the grass. for those of you not fluent in toilet papering, the confetti is extremely hard to clean up once the morning dew hits it and makes it all soggy. i'll never forget the next day, when the doorbell rang at the house where all of us slept. The coach stood there, smiling. we spent the morning picking up dewy confetti out of her yard and picking toilet paper out of her pine trees. darn the bad luck!

anyway, christian was hilarious despite sore throat problems. i highly recommend that you go check him out if he's ever in your neck of the woods.

yesterday, we went to see the new disney/pixar flick, cars. i just love pixar! this movie actually did not have any bears, lions, giraffes or hedgehogs in it! and the voices were all first-class: owen wilson, paul newman, bonnie hunt, george carlin...and larry the cable guy. the kids enjoyed it and there were a few jokes thrown in just for adults.

punkin decided to put her entrepreneurial skills to work on saturday, setting up a lemonade stand in the front yard. in the 2 or 3 hours she was out there, she only had a handful of customers, but ended up making $13! people were paying her $7 for a cup of lemonade and $3 for a cookie. i suppose the difference was "cuteness tax."

Inflation is ridiculous. As for Pixar, I have most of their movies on DVD. Looking forward to Cars.
