rationalizing the co-read

it's been a while since i've attempted the co-read...where you have 2 or more books going at the same time. but a client lent me inconsolable: how i threw my mental health out with the diapers and i made the mistake of reading the first chapter. so last night, i was sitting in bed with this new book and the one i posted about yesterday, one on each thigh, looking confusedly back and forth from one to the other, trying to decide which one to read. ultimately, i decided that my battle with depression could wait another day. hell, it's waited 34 years, what's another 24 hours? besides, inconsolable is a borrowed book that will need to be returned soon. i'm sure my client is just going into a frenzy waiting to read it again. that would be damaging to her mental health and counter-productive to our work together. that would make me a shitty therapist! problem solved. (as an added bonus, i don't have to work on changing anything yet either. somebody bring me a beer!)

Not important which two books you read, as long as they cancel each other out and leave you to a good night's rest. :)
