the count down

"limbo week" would be better if:
  1. my child was consistently entertained and not asking me every 5 minutes to play school, hair salon, or serial killer
  2. my early morning clients actually showed up instead of returning my inquiry calls from a deer stand somewhere out in the country, sounding sleepy
  3. the cleaning lady wasn't taking 2 weeks off
  4. my kitchen floors were not covered in some kind of goo
  5. i wasn't actually excited about buying new pots and pans with my targ*t gift certificate

on an unrelated note, the picture above is pike's peak, taken from my friend's back porch. that, my friend, is an elevation of over 14,000 feet! we did not venture up there this time. i had visions of myself collapsing and riding down with an oxygen tank attached to my face. but next time...i won't go sledding, so i won't hurt my knees, and it won't be winter so i won't get a cold, so what's a little altitude sickness?

lower the limbo stick a little, will ya?

What a great picture, and to think.. I can walk outside and see that daily. I take it for granted!

Yep, Nell, we tend to do that. Whether it's Pike's Peak or NASA, if it's in YOUR town, it's probably no big deal to you!

I love limbo week! However, it might be better w/ the kids in school!
