andrea yates is going to receive a new trial. while the state's decision to decline to "reverse the reversal" is a very positive step toward furthering the cause of women's mental health, it saddens me to no end to think that andrea will have to relive the horror of what she did in 2001.

i don't watch the news or listen to the radio, but people have told me what's being said about her - like this is all part of her "master plan." i chalk it up to ignorance. people with schizophrenia are lucky to be alert in the present moment, much less be able to come up with a "master plan" of anything. but think what you want. opinions are like assholes - everybody's got one.
