ok, what's the deal with word verification on your blogs? is the threat of rogue commenters that bad? i have never had that problem (knock on wood, of course). as an avid reader of my blogroll, i find it annoying to have to type in a mumbo jumbo of letters before i can leave a comment. i found myself just not commenting at all.

anyway, my dad is here trying to finish up our crown molding as my birthday present. i get to sit around and do whatever while he and the captain work on the molding. so far, punkin has been content to watch movies and wait for her friend from dallas to arrive in town. the only thing that sucks is the generator. it starts without warning, scaring the living daylights out of me. at least i'm paying attention to the world now.

it looks like there's a hurricane a-coming. the captain, being the weather nerd he is, is hoping it will hit us. i have been through several hurricanes and can't remember having a good experience in any of them. silly me.
