just in case you haven't heard, tom cruise has decided to speak out publicly against psychiatry, calling it a "pseudo-science." more specifically, he decided to criticize brooke shields for taking antidepressants as part of her treatment for postpartum depression. read ms. shields' fabulous reply to cruise's ignorance.
i think it's a matter of common courtesy not to force your beliefs on others, especially when you're a celebrity and have a built-in "megaphone." cruise abused his position, and i know that i am not the only person who has changed their mind about contributing to his paycheck by boycotting war of the worlds. sorry, stephen spielberg. it's nothing personal.
