once upon a time...

...there was a queen who lived in the highest room of the tallest tower of an enchanted castle. as the queen liked to keep up with the times as much as possible, she had a television, but it was only able to play disney dvds. this was part of an enchantment that had been put on the tv by her daughter, the princess. in fact, most of the rooms in the queen's tower had been taken over by the princess's many possessions.

one day, the queen's carriage refused to start, though thankfully it had been in the royal garage instead of on the road to the village. her faithful servants came out and towed the carriage to the royal carriage dealership, where it remains to this very day. the queen refused to be downtrodden and sought out the king's carriage. the king and the queen planned a royal getaway to celebrate their marriage anniversary. the princess asked them to drop her off at the royal weekend home, and proceeded to have her servants load up the king's carriage with her possessions: books, disney dvds, the royal wardrobe, and about 50 pieces of the royal stuffed animal collection. the carriage was so full by then that the king and queen had to pack modestly to be able to fit their luggage into it.

on the way to the royal getaway, the sky opened, raining so hard that the driver was barely able to see. the 1 hour drive ended up taking over 2 hours and the king and queen were exhausted as they made their way to the royal getaway hotel. the driver then proceeded to deliver the princess to the royal weekend home, though he was not very keen on carrying all of the princess's royal luggage into the home. the princess, who became bored easily, talked the queen's father into taking her to the royal hotel, as she thought it rather elegant and fun. the royal family had a nice time swimming and then eating a hearty dinner together. despite the princess's wishes to remain with her parents, the queen's father took her back to the weekend home.

the royal couple had a good time, shopping at the royal mall, ordering room service and watching movies that were not financed by the walt disney company. the next day, the princess and the queen's father returned to feast once again with the king and queen. after they were stuffed to their royal gills, the royal family had to return to the castle, for the king and queen had to attend to their royal duties the next day.

that day dawned clear and sunny, and the queen typed quietly on her laptop as the king sat at the control computer. the princess was in the royal theater watching a disney dvd. the queen looked around and noticed that the royal toy collection had been put neatly away, leaving plenty of room in the tower. making a note to thank the princess's servants, as well as to call the royal carriage dealership later that day, the queen logged off and went on with her day full of promise.
