life's box of chocolates

tomorrow, i embark on a journey to san jose, california. i am going to postpartum support international's annual conference. i've been checking the weather forecast. it looks awful - sunny skies, highs in the 70's, lows in the 50's. i sure will miss the 105 degree heat indexes here. anyhoo - isn't there a song about san jose?

i am hoping to catch up with my friend eric, whom i have known for about 10 years, but also whom i have seen in person only 3 or 4 times. friendships like this one were impossible 15 or so years ago, when the internet consisted of a bunch of mit students and professors exchanging ideas.

i've always believed that technology is a mixed blessing. while i probably never would have met eric, mark, danelle, and tracey or caught up with kambri, i think i would be a lot thinner from actually doing things instead of sitting at the computer. =) that's all i have to say about that.
