what's going on...

i don't mean to whine, but...well, yes i do. if i can't whine to you, then who? hey, that rhymes! ahem...i digress. anyhoo, i kept waking up last night because of an intense sinus headache right above my left eye. when i got up this morning, my eyes were red and itchy and the headache has done nothing except get worse. i had a challenging client this morning and it was hard to stay on the same page. but i don't think he noticed.

yesterday's biopsy went better than expected. mom said it was uncomfortable, but not unbearable. i would assume discomfort, since they were sticking needles in her throat! the doctor again didn't seem that concerned and said he would call if the biopsy came back indicating cancer. otherwise, we have to go for a follow-up in 6 weeks.

punkin is making a mother's day gift for me at school. she can't keep a secret for the life of her! last night, she was taking a bath and she kept trying to tell me what it was. i told her not to, so i would be surprised. she would say things like, "it starts with an 'a'." finally, she was rambling on about decorating it, when she made the slip-up: "if i don't put a heart on your apron, that doesn't mean i don't love you." when i called her on it, she got very upset. so i told her about the time my mom bought my dad a really nice watch for his birthday and i spilled the beans the minute he walked through the front door! i told her that "when you're six, it's supposed to be hard to keep a secret." that calmed her down.

i give my last final tomorrow! yesterday's test went alright. i was surprised at how many students needed the whole 2 hours. it is an open book test, so i bet they didn't bother to study at all. what they don't understand is that you have to be familiar with the book to be able to finish the test in a timely manner. all of the grades were really good though. so far, the lowest was an 85. i'll just be glad when it's over, i turn in my grades and display folder, and don't have to mess with anything for at least the summer.
