weekend of merriment

here are some pics from the festival. one of the things i love about it is the costumes. i just don't know how these people can dress up like that when it's 90 degrees with 90% humidity. we had a good time, but it was so humid that i sweat my traditional face painting off. i bought a christmas present for mi madre in law and a birthday present for one of punkin's friends. captain crotch rode rides with punkin, and we all ate lots of food. we didn't elect to sit in the direct sunlight to watch the joust, but we did catch some fine musicians and people with chainmail and not much else on. eclectic would be the word.
