friday the 13th, part XXX

i am not superstitious. nothing weird has happened today. i have had a nasty sinus headache all day, which has put a damper on my enthusiasm to work. i am also feeling extra anxious about money. the teaching gig is really just chump change. i need to find a part-time job. a lot of the inpatient hospitals hire part-time or prn (as needed). it would be good experience, too.

the checkout lines in stores are evil. did you know that? i was standing in line to check out at targ*t, and as i stood there, i surveyed the selection of "impulse buys." i thanked my lucky stars that punkin wasn't with me to see the collection of little toys, candy and gum. i looked around for children hanging on their mother's leg, whining for a toy, but alas, the only kids in the store that i could see were babies. but i bet they were thinking that they wanted that toy and were frustrated that they couldn't whine about it. i wonder how many kids have gotten a spanking because of those aisles. probably not too many...parents these days tend to cave in just to get the kid to shut up. i hate that.

just to leave you on a positive note, the weather here is gorgeous and rabbit is home early! well, that's positive for me anyway. and this is my blog. okay, that's it.
