ou812

gosh...i remember how cool we thought the name of that van halen album was when it came out in the '80's. ou812? somehow, as a teenager, we associated that with something dirty. what we 82, i have no idea. but it was sexual, i can tell you that much. we'd leave the cassette tape case on our dashboards so that passersby would know that we were hip, cool, and oh so dangerous.

fast forward 17 years. does van halen even exist anymore? cassette tapes are pretty much obsolete. and it's difficult to be dangerous when you have a 7 year old hanging on your leg. the only kind of word play i am into these days are acronyms - lpc, dsm, iud. in my cd player, you're more likely to find rush, evanescence or creed. i refuse to listen to country, but i do have a pre-set button on my radio for easy listening, Christian contemporary and classical.

my father keeps calling my daughter by my name. i know i don't feel my age, so he must not feel his either. i find myself getting braver, wearing more revealing clothing and even buying a 2-piece bathing suit for the second time in my life. my husband thinks i'm "hot" and my daughter thinks i look "pretty." my chinese dangerous tattoo gets more air time now that it's hot outside. i feel like i have reached an entirely different stage of my life. i am way more confident, i take a lot less crap from people, and i may be a little more dangerous than i think i am.

so, yeah, i812, and it was most likely from coldstone. you only live once!

Remember the album...yes I said ALBUM....For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge? How is this for being naive...I had no idea that it was the...shhhh...."f" word. LOL Girl...we are just to the great age of where we still look good and we don't give a rats hiney about what people think anymore. Ya got it...flaunt it. I never used to wear low cut tops. Now?
