they missed me!

it was nice to get back into the classroom yesterday. my students were actually happy to see me! apparently, the substitute i had on monday was my polar opposite. they called her a "fast talker." according to the sign-in sheets that she put in my box, only 6 people stayed to listen to her lecture in my second class. how rude! i guess the old adage is true - absence makes the heart grow fonder. i'm still not going to make the tests any easier though.
