down at the crossroads

so...here i am. everything i was "waiting for" has been done. punkin is at school, all is quiet, i don't have a client until noon. sure, i have plenty to do around the house and i have tax stuff to do for my business, but that will always be there. i am at the crossroads.

do i stay or do i go?

do i stay here and tackle paperwork, the laundry, and the grocery shopping on the rationalization that i have better workouts in the afternoon? after all, it is true that i tend to have more energy after 2pm and i definitely enjoy my workouts more in the afternoons.

however, my gym is closed from 1pm - 3:30pm, which means that i have to take punkin with me if i do go in the afternoon. and she does not like to go. she gets so bored. she asks me every 10 minutes if i am done yet. then another part of me says, "who's the parent here anyway?" if i want to go to the gym at 3:30 because that's when my body handles a workout best, then that's when i should go!

then the other part of me asks, "are you just saying that so you don't have to go right now?" *sigh* the captain has already agreed to hold me accountable if i don't go today. it shouldn't be such a difficult decision. these are the times when i wish i was ignorant and blissful.

nike says just do it. the motivational speakers say that if you don't go to the gym, then you know you won't work out. i better go get my sports bra. at least that's a step in the right direction, and i know that it will be supportive, no matter what i decide to do. snicker.

Sounds like an elastic debate. Wonder if you snapped to it.

Don't they have like a kid watch thing or something at the gym? If not, Be good to yourself and get her a fun sitter for a couple of hours!

I ended up taking her with me and bringing the portable DVD player. I didn't hear one single complaint! They do have a kid's area but it's more for little kids.
