Then second, after 24 hours of madness, they are told there is no room at the inn. That is unacceptable! Thanks to heroic efforts by many of our own people and volunteers, we finally secured shelters for all our evacuees that were bused out of Brazoria County."

"We followed our plan and our plan worked. The state plan, that everyone agreed to follow, fell apart due to lack of resources. We had Brazoria County people stranded all over Texas! They are mad and so am I. They needed serious help! Not excuses! In the future, Brazoria County people need evacuation routes that do not go through large populated areas."
