my tizzy

i'm typing this from our new computer! once i bought the proper hardware, the wireless lan was easy to set up. now i get the fun of transferring all of my settings, etc.

it has been an interesting couple of days. yesterday, i went out to wait for the bus at 3:00 as usual. the other parents were milling around already and complaining about the heat. 3:05...no bus. 3:10...no bus. 3:15...the bus! i watched the kids get out of the bus, and noticed that the driver was not their regular gal. soon, there were 2 kids left in the bus - and neither of them were mine! i tried not to panic. i got on the bus and the driver took me around the block, looking for punkin. i had my cell phone and called the school. i was on hold with them when we got back to the house. i ran in to see if she had come home while i was on my bus ride. no punkin, but the phone was ringing. it turned out to be some kid's mom who had my child. apparently, punkin had gotten off the bus at the wrong stop! thank you Lord that she knows her phone number by heart!! i don't even want to remember the horrible scenes that were going through my mind during the time she was lost. my heart doubly goes out to the parents of missing children.

this morning, getting punkin out of bed was a monumental task. and the bus driver decided to show up at 6:55 am instead of her usual 7:10 am. guess who missed the bus?
