at least we have our health

things have to start improving any second now. as predicted in yesterday's post, the shuttle from the dealership never made it. they called before 7am saying that he would be leaving shortly. finally at 9:30, after several unproductive phone calls, the captain came home to retrieve a file and was nice enough to take me to get my loaner car. the shuttle guy, as it turned out, had run out of gas on the beltway.

i am about to have a phone meeting with an assistant editor at a publishing company. don't get excited - it's not me publishing anything. they make textbooks. they're paying me to tweak their on-line resources.

needless to say, i didn't make it to register punkin for school this morning. my friend went with his son and said that it took a good hour to fill out all of the paperwork and get copies made of everything. good thing they're doing it all week. at this rate, who knows when i'll be able to go? i had to reschedule my 10am client to 3:30 today because of the car situation. good thing i have clients with flexible schedules. in fact, it's a good thing that i have a flexible schedule! there's always a silver lining if you look hard enough.
