the captain and i are celebrating our 11th anniversary this weekend. we will be staying in this cushy hotel tonight and tomorrow night. i am looking forward to it immensely! just being able to watch a movie that has a rating above "g" will be nice.
the punkin is staying with my dad. she loves it over there. he lives on 5 acres of heavily wooded land and has a big play set with a fort, slide, swings, etc. and now has an above ground pool that's just right for punkin to swim in. it's 4 feet deep at the most, so she can touch in all places. i feel mildly sorry for dad, as he will no doubt be mercilessly hounded to get in the pool at all times of the day. somehow, i don't think he minds that too much.
i had a job interview yesterday at my church. the job sounds doable and fun and it pays great - $20/hr.! the big deal-killer for me was that it requires me to be there every saturday night and sunday morning. the captain was none too happy about that, and now that i think about it, i just don't think it's feasible. if i took that job, weekends like this couldn't really exist. it's a shame, too since the hours per week were only 8-10. it's hard to find part-time work with so few hours that pays so well.
so i guess i'm on to bigger and better things [or as we say in texas, "thangs."]. have a great weekend! i know i will (finally!).
