for the dads...

the old saying is that any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad. to all you dads and dad-figures out there, happy father's day!!

and to my husband, who i think has to be one of the top 5 dads in the entire world:

i want to say thank you for being there for me after punkin was born and i sank into depression. thank you for wanting to be involved in just about every aspect of her life. thank you for showing her things that she would have never learned from me. thank you for the countless hours of playing kid games with her just to give me a break. thank you for never making me feel like you're a "babysitter" when i leave her with you. but most of all, thank you for being the kind of role model that makes me secure in her future choice of boyfriends, and eventually a husband. i know she won't settle for anyone who doesn't cherish her as much as you do. i love you!
